Too Busy to Hear Your Inner Calling?

There are many jobs for 14-year-olds on the internet, they just have to make sure that they are focused and ready to do the job. I currently know a 12 year old who is getting the job done and making a pretty good amount of cash. Not as much as his parents, but he can afford things such as new clothing and video games to enjoy.

This 14-year-old person I also know has actually created an ingenious way of taking surveys. He realized that all his friends like to send him messages through his new "MySpace e-mail", so he created a Gmail account dedicated to survey opportunities.

Now companies will send this 14-year-old feedback for every single survey that he takes, feedback in the form of cash.

He checks his survey e-mail every single day and sees what's there. Just as he thought, it is full of paid survey opportunity, and it is an incredible feeling when he leaves every day knowing that he makes as much as "grown-ups" and their part time jobs.

His name is Benjamin, he's a normal kid, average GPA 2.8, there's nothing special, in fact I get on him constantly because he needs to get his GPA higher in order to graduate to a great school, but he'll get into one in no time.

But let's not get sidetracked, we are still talking about paid surveys, and it's an incredible opportunity, I once explained to him why he is getting paid so much with paid surveys.

I told Ben that the surveys are paying you to hear your opinion and make the company better. Is this true? Definitely! Big companies are paying people of all ages to do surveys simply because they want to quickly figure out how to better their company, product, or services immediately!

I believe an inner calling comes to each of us in subtle ways and the subtlety of that calling becomes the song of our heart. Our job, should we desire to find our greatest potential, is to learn how to listen.
When our lives are filled with the busyness of things we have to do, and when it goes on for days on end, we may forget that we have created it all by the choices we’ve made.
Abraham-Hicks shared at a recent conference that as human beings, we always have choice, our lives are based in freedom – even the freedom to choose bondage.
Why would anyone choose bondage?
Then I remembered when my life felt as if it were running on autopilot and I was living in reaction to life just trying to keep up. Somehow my life became living in response to all the things that I had created including my long list of to-dos, my family, the bills, our home, my work, and all of the other choices in my life… at some point I had begun to believe that I was stuck and the momentum of “stuck-ness” had been building for some time.
In my experience the still small voice began to get louder and louder. Some can hear it in the beginning and respond by changing and realigning their lives, while others try to ignore the symptoms and push on thinking that things will change for the better someday in the future. Many, those who choose to ignore their own well being, experience less than subtle manifestations of that inner voice and guidance so that it has no choice but to escalate to a louder aware-ness. This can result in physical messages like a lack of enthusiasm either at work or at home, low energy or physical pain and/or sickness.
In retrospect I had known deep down for some time that I couldn’t go on living in this way but the outward manifestation seemed to be working and my drive towards what I thought was success overrode my attention to the intuitive voice that was trying to guide me in another direction.
What I have learned from the many people I’ve worked with over the years is that the sense of off-ness is a message from your soul through an inner calling for you to shift something in order to move forward with greater ease.
Your ability to tune in and listen to your inner calling is known as intuitive intelligence and it offers the keys to awaken to the wholeness that is potentially you. There is an ever-expanding intelligence of “mind” when you allow yourself to choose the life path that is infinitely more fulfilling.
Words like mind-body connection have implied that thought is directly connected to your physical well-being. In other words, your thoughts impact the health and well-being of your body. It has been a subject of scientific study for years and we have found that thoughts directly and cumulatively impact the body’s health, ability to heal and physical potential. But there is even more.
Scientific studies at Heartmath Institute about the heart’s coherence with electromagnetometers (EMA) leads to the factual proof of non-verbal energy that communicates out from our bodies all the time.
In experiential work with horses, we find clear response to dissonance within a human. I these sessions the horses respond by turning away from the energy of dissonance where previously they would choose to stay close. This not only verified the natural response of discomfort, but possibly even more importantly, it pointed out the natural instinct and desire for cohesion and alignment within a coherent group.
If we choose to live with incoherence between our own mind and heart we are in essence choosing to live with vibrational dissonance within our bodies. In effect we are stepping away from our own alignment and in so doing we will eventually deplete our resources and fail. The simplicity of our system is astounding and the potential for human expansion is infinite.
What if this is just another tip of the iceberg?
What if our bodies, through an inner calling, could actually help us to tap into infinite intelligence through our own intuitive intelligence?
Is it possible that our bodies are trying to provide us with necessary information? What if that information offers us the keys to life expansion and ultimate joy?
What if we find a connection to greater wisdom through learning how to listen and align with our intuitive intelligence as leaders of others and in our own lives? It would mean that we could open to our dreams once again and with that, anything is possible!

Data Entry Work at Home Jobs

The very best time to look for a new job is while you still have your old one-but what if that means you need to keep it on the down low? Keeping your job search confidential can seem virtually impossible, but it isn't.

One great way to stealth job search is by using LinkedIn. It's entirely possible to reach out to others without it being a matter of public record. (And using LinkedIn to contact hiring managers instead of going through HR cattle calls is amazingly effective!)

So what do you have to do?

Above all else, you must have a polished LinkedIn profile. The better you look on LinkedIn, the more likely it becomes that you're contacted by medical sales recruiters or hiring managers in health care sales (the easiest way to land a job of all). But be careful of what you write in your summary. You can't put "seeking a sales opportunity" if you're trying to keep it quiet. Concentrate on highlighting your skills and accomplishments while making connections and participating in relevant groups. Essentially, you're putting your best foot forward while growing your network. And you'll learn a tremendous amount of information from the resources you'll find there that will help you get ahead in your laboratory sales, pharmaceutical sales, or medical device sales job search.

What if your employer wants to know why you have such a shined up profile? Don't let him put you on the spot. You can say (especially if you're in sales or marketing) that you see yourself as the face of the company, and customers seek you out on LinkedIn. You can also say that you're trying to learn about the latest social media tools to be current on the trends. There are over 65 million professionals on LinkedIn, and they're not all looking for jobs. It's not going to be unusual for you to jump in, too.

Moreover, these companies are the premier information technology and consultancy organizations globally established as an IT Services Destination. There are many multinational marketing companies, which need people to do online data entry jobs for processing information to plan for development and growth of the company.

And this is the vital point that the companies looking for people to do online data entry work at home jobs stress upon, to get the best out of their employees. To be more precise:
– Work at home allows him or her to set there own schedules and work when they want.
– The only assets required by a data entry operator are a computer and reliable Internet connection with a telephone line. These all are easily available.
– Working at home provides suitable environment, where the atmosphere is friendlier and one can be at ease without any pressure from the superiors. This makes the work better, faster and more productive for both parties.

How To Select The Right Appliance Parts for Your DIY Repair Job

Looking for a job can be very tedious at times especially that there is an increasing scarcity of available jobs today. Prior to job searching, one must consider some factors so that when offered a job, he or she can easily assess whether or not to accept the same. A job offer or application is a serious matter that one must treat it with certainty and a comprehensive understanding on the job description, compensation, and skills required. Job search techniques propose some factors one should consider.

Among the factors job search techniques propose are one's skills and ability for the job, nature of the job, compensation, lifestyle, and your career plan. One must consider his or her skills and capabilities to ensure that one can perform satisfactorily the tasks required for the job. This is very important to ensure that you remain employed and continue to receive salary. If you are paid by piece or on commission basis, such ability is highly crucial to be entitled for a higher salary during paydays. The nature of the job is equally important to determine whether your skills and capabilities match or suits the requirements of the job. An understanding of this factor allows one to effectively assess how one will perform the at work. Knowing the nature of work entails knowledge of the responsibilities and obligations one has to his or her employer. Compensation is probably the most inviting and interesting factor in doing a job search. Normally, compensation is dependent upon the nature of job and your capabilities and skills. Having an idea of how much one expects to receive as a salary is very important to maintain the desire and willingness to work with enthusiasm and zeal. The lifestyle and overall financial need is very important since part of the reason why one works is to provide for the his or her needs. Comparing your monthly basic salary with your monthly expenses will either give you a gratifying feeling that you have a job or some sort of dilemma on how to meet both ends to provide for your needs. Finally, you must relate the job you are looking for to that of your career plan, if you have one. The job you are searching for must either directly or indirectly contribute to your career plan. This helps you make a career rather than just a mere job. A job related to your career plan makes you more interested and eager to perform the tasks given since there is a higher level of benefit you derive out of it. These factors as commonly proposed in job search techniques to be taken into consideration helps the person find the right job for him or her where one can excel and enjoys the benefits of the said job.

Therefore, based on various job search techniques, a person must seriously consider his or her ability to perform the nature of the job, feel satisfied with the compensation received in lieu of his or her lifestyle, and contributes to the realization of a career plan. Once a person feels that a job provides for a satisfactory result from all of these factors, then there is a high chance that such job will not be a job for him or her but a hobby which he or she will always wholeheartedly perform.

There can be nothing more frustrating than having an appliance fail you, particularly if you are looking to repair the issue yourself. Searching for the correct appliance parts can be a particularly stressful event, as it is not always easy knowing which part best suits your needs. There are, thankfully, some guidelines to aid you in your do-it-yourself repair journey. Check out the following steps to help you figure out the right part for your particular appliance:
Identify the problem.
Before you can move any further in your repair efforts, you must understand what the specific issue is with your particular appliance. The Internet has become a fantastic resource for people attempting DIY projects. Search online and do not forget to take a look at the online videos. Many people who are experts in repair jobs post videos providing online instruction for lay people. Take advantage of these options and view as many videos and read as many go-to sites as you can in order to truly understand which part it is that is causing you issues. If you are in doubt, find a reliable company that specializes in repairs and discuss the issue with a representative. Nothing is more frustrating than purchasing a new part to find that it was incorrect and you must begin again.
Check the appliance in its entirety.
Appliance parts are generally identified by the appliance model. Each machine, like refrigerators and microwaves and washing machines, have license numbers and model numbers. There are several diagrams online to help you locate these identifiers if you are unfamiliar with the process of finding these spots. It is important to correctly grab these labels because every part has subtle differences, depending on the make, model and brand. If you receive the wrong part based on your type of machine, you could be facing more time, more money and more headaches. Again, if you are in doubt about which part for which you should be searching, do not hesitate to contact a (reliable) provider. You can always explain your problem and listen to their solutions to aid you in your own repairs.
Look for a warranty.
Attempting to fix your own parts can be a trial-and-error process, especially if you are a beginner. This is not necessarily bad, as you will most certainly learn valuable information for your present, as well as future, projects. You can, however, incur a sizable amount of damage, which can be pricey. Do not be afraid to try things out for yourself, but be certain you have a contingent plan, which should include a reliable warranty for your appliance parts.
Seek out a reputable provider.
Finally, you should always have a good appliance repair contact available in your back pocket, so to speak. Being able to contact a trustworthy company regarding repairs and new parts is invaluable. A good provider can steer you in the correct direction, and you will have confidence that they are providing good advice, without trying to take advantage of your situation.

Well this is one of the joys of work from home online jobs. Ever notice how once we are at work we make the most of it? Well that's cause getting there is the number one hurtle in the morning.

Now, if we eliminate the traveling factor from this equation then what are we left with but the ability to work from home. Now this affords us to set our own hours, rise in the morning when we want too. Finish work when we want too. The ability to create your own work environment. For women this has worked well in the past. Allowing for the working mother to stay at home with her children during those crucial younger years of infancy. Some of the ups and down about hold good and bad qualities. First when you work from home you can work at increasing speed and rest when you want. Sometimes it doesn't matter the amount of time you spend on a project as long as you complete it by a set time. However, this can also work both ways against you. Imagine all this complacency and content. Once you've settled in you may not find your motivation. The old adage, "Don't put off tomorrow what you can do today" comes to mind. Some people argue that working unsupervised can breed poor work habits.

Once again, online home jobs are found through referral sites. Sometimes a resume is asked to be provided. Most home jobs such as this consist of data entry, accounts payable and other computer water work style jobs. Some editors and writers for newspapers work at home. They compile their work and fax or e-mail it to the main offices of their employer. It sounds like a dream but yes indeed it is possible with today's internet technology.

As we have covered, Work From Home Online Jobs have their benefits and also have possible down sides. However these downsides as I see are sometimes cause by neglect and abuse of the power working from home gives one. This is the case as with anything which empowers someone. So use these opportunities with care and great judgment.

In the past, it is more difficult for an older man to meet a younger woman. And some people will be very reluctant to accept such kind of relationship. However, with the advance of internet technology, it is a lot easier for an older man to meet a younger woman. There are a lot of dating sites on the web. And people are actively seeking “another half” from these sites.
As a matter of fact, an older man will probably be feeling more energetic when he meets a younger woman. He will certainly perform very well at the very beginning when the intimate relationship is concerned. However, when time goes by, it will be more difficult for them to perform as well. As a result, it is very important to seek for the best sex positions.
We have to face the fact that the body of us will change when we become older. We will not be performing as what we can do when we were still twenty years old. The point here is that, exploring the best sex relationship can help you to satisfy your younger lady well. At the end of the day it is not very difficult for you to start exploring for that.
It is also very true that foreplay is very important when sexual life is concerned. The fact here is that an older man may take longer time in order to be fully aroused. This can actually be an advantage. You will be spending more time on the foreplay and this will also help to arouse your partner a lot better and easier. And this will also help a lot when you are searching for the best sex positions for you and your younger partner.
Besides, an older man may be more experienced in terms of intimate relationship and he may understand the anatomy of women more than younger men. This can be another advantage. Because you understand more about the anatomy of your lady, it will be easier for you to explore the best sex positions with her. Yet, you will still need to remember ladies are usually more emotional than males.
The intimate relationship between an older man and a younger woman can be very perfect. The point here is that you will need to take time to explore the best sex positions. And you should also communicate with your partner well. With your rich experience, you should be able to have a perfect sexual life with your partner!

Job Search – How to Get Your Linkedin Profile to Attract Recruiters 24-7

In the United States and many other locations around the world there was a massive recession declared during the autumn of 2008. This meant fewer jobs and less money all round. Everybody should have been prepared for this economical meltdown, but nobody, including experienced business leaders could have predicted the vast scale of this contraction. It came like a tornado, wiping out firms like Bear Sterns, Lehmann Brothers and a total of 93 Banks.

You can declare that a country is in recession when during two consecutive trimesters it generates a sequential decreasing of the aforementioned indicator (GDP). In economic terms, a recession is a consistent reduction of the national GDP (Gross Domestic Product). A recession produces a contraction in the financial sector and all kinds of businesses people panic, refuse credit or go bankrupt. In simple terms it means the economy is going backwards rather than forwards, creating a national backward trend of financial and economical progress. This leads to fewer jobs and less cash flow nationwide. When recession does occur, everybody should be prepared, especially when the economic forecast is looking downward rather than upward. Remember, recession effects all of us to some degree because we are all part and parcel of the economy, and we all depend on the economy. Without it, there would be a total meltdown of society, nobody will be paid and life would cease. This may be a sad fact, but it is true.

Thankfully, for job seekers, businesses and everyone under the economic umbrella, the recession seems to be reseeding a little, although the economy is still bleeding Jobs and business credit is still slow. If you are going through hard times financially, remember, it is better to smile and look forward than be negative and give up. A recession doesn't last forever. Credit will flow again in the not too distant future and jobs will be plentiful once more. Some economist believe it is a natural cycle of a capitalistic economy to have a recession, while others are simply glad that it did not turn into a depression, like what happened in the 1930's.

One good aspect of the current recession is the knowledge that Online Business and Employment are now a viable option for both employer and employee. The recession hit big because of many poor decisions, but also because globalization made it impossible for companies in the US, UK and Europe to compete with companies in India and China. Now these companies are looking at huge money-saving techniques in order to survive. This will mean many people in the future will work from home so the companies can save vast sums of money on buildings, transport and office space. If you are currently out of work and your experience is suited to freelancing, then you should think about consulting, working from home or becoming your own boss. It is much easier than you think to take control of your future and work from home. The recession has opened people's eyes a variety of different online jobs that they would have never even thought of before they lost their own.

There are lots of people out there with the same title you have, but very few who have a brand that demonstrates results. Don’t put just your job title under your name. That doesn’t make you distinctive nor memorable. Put your brand right up front.
For example, I recently helped a jobseeker who was a city manager. The only thing under his name on his linked in profile was his job title. What’s there now? “City manager good under pressure with an intact sense of humor.”
Which one is more likely to make him stand out from all the other city managers on linked in? Which gives him some personality right away in just a few words? Which one would you be more interested in talking to?
Second, make your summary concise and compelling. Don’t ramble on until you see you’ve run out of space. Try to tell the reader about the problems you solve and the results you get in about 4-6 lines.
Be sure to include the major key words people will be searching for so they can find you. Spend just a little time. You’ll see how just a little information actually makes you more desirable to recruiters and hiring managers.
And finally, show them something extra. Add some articles or presentations you’ve done that represent your expertise. List relevant books you’re reading to show you’re staying current and always learning.
With these kinds of changes, your LinkedIn profile presents you to the recruiter or person you want to network with as someone they should talk to.
Since your profile speaks very loudly about you, make sure it’s saying something important and exciting.

Job Seekers – Make Your Job Search More Productive

Trying to find half decent jobs for 13 year olds these days is next to impossible considering that they are just not old enough to work at chain stores and in general workplaces. What are their options these days when it comes to finding quality employment. They can do the more traditional baby sitting or paper delivery jobs but this type of work takes up a lot of their social time and pay's very little for the inconvenience of it all.

So what can they do about it, well the solution to this problem is closer than you may think thanks to modern technology. Times are changing and the days of searching for jobs the traditional way are fast becoming yesterday's ways. The internet is slowly filling the void when it comes to the current teen job market. When looking for jobs for 13 year olds it is now entirely possible for them to apply, get hired and start earning with their dream job in just one day regardless of their skill or location.

When teens choose to find work online they do not have to go through a lengthy, jump through the hoop type interview then wait weeks to find out if their application was accepted or not. So when compared to applying for and obtaining a normal advertised job it should come as no surprise at all that these paid online jobs are fast becoming the new number one jobs for 13 year olds everywhere.

These paid online jobs out perform your more traditional type jobs every time. The most popular online job for this group at the moment is taking online surveys. They simply get paid for their opinion by filling out short anonymous surveys on things like movies, magazines, t.v and hundreds of other products and topics. The best part is that they are the greatest jobs when it comes to fitting into their busy little social schedule. Apart from the fact that most teens that are doing these surveys are earning at least $20 to $40 per hour there are no pre determined times that they must work, no travel expenses for getting them to and from work and they can work as often or as little as they like. Just try finding a job like this anywhere else.

Taking a survey is an extremely simple thing to do as it is basically just clicking check boxes or filling in information where required. On completion of the survey the money is transferred to their account and they move on to the next survey. But it's not all roses as choosing the right survey companies to work for is the hardest part. All too often teens get sucked in to taking surveys for companies that promise big then turn around and pay them a couple of dollars an hour at the absolute best.

When it comes to "Free To Join" paid survey sites there are only a small number of survey sites that are well established and actually do pay the money they claim they do. If they join as many of these genuine survey sites as they can they will have an unlimited number of the higher paying surveys available to them each day when they log in. Getting jobs for 13 year olds has actually never been easier, you just have to know where to look.

Job seeking is a daunting task even in the best of times and, in the current economic climate, it’s even more so. It’s a predictably stressful event, next to buying or selling a home, having a child, getting married, getting divorced, or having some kind of emotional trauma. Ranking right up there with all of those things is the interview process itself and trying to land a new position. Supply and demand dictates that during good economic times, when fewer people are in the job market, you have less competition. Right now there’s a lot of competition so I hope these tips will help you.
In my many years in the staffing industry, I saw many unemployed individuals who were coming from a feeling of scarcity, their self-esteem totally eroded. That’s not the place you want to come from when looking for something new. If you’re one of the million people who were laid off in the last year, hang on to hope and take some action steps. Don’t make finding a new job your full time job. Inject some balance into your life by limiting your job search to a set number of hours per day. Volunteer some of your time (around your job search) so that you feel that you’re contributing something.
Ask people who like you (family & friends) to describe you in one word. “If you had to describe me in one word, what would that be?” Then write those words down so that you can look at them when you need to pump yourself up. Remember, you are worthy and you do have something to offer. Those descriptive words will reinforce that for you if you get the blues.
Always ask people you know, “Who do you know that’s hiring right now? I’m looking for a new job. “There may be certain people at your last job you formed friendships with, so stay in touch with them and remind them that you’re looking. Don’t let the “out of sight, out of mind” mentality take over for you or them.

Working With Pointers in C++: Potential Dangers and Hazards

The impact of the downturn on employment in the Food Manufacturing Industry today is worldwide. The US processed food sector had steady growth in the ten year period after 1997, with slight decline near the end. Many employed in the food manufacturing industry are multinationals. Growth in processed food goods can be attributed to several factors, including two income families, less time at home for food preparation, and more take home and restaurant food purchases. Over that ten year period, the value of food shipments increased about 27 percent.

Many smaller food manufacturing companies are hit harder by economic downturns. They employ fewer people in food jobs; pay more for food products, deliveries, and for manufacturing costs than large companies. The few large companies hire more multinationals, who account for about a third of all food industry jobs. About 89 percent of the smaller companies have less than 100 workers. Many smaller companies are swallowed up in acquisitions by large companies.

The impact of the economic downturn on employment in the Food Manufacturing Industry affects automation and technology purchasing also, as these allow companies to operate at even higher output levels with fewer employees, adding to less employment in food manufacturing jobs. Employment in that ten year period declined about 5 percent. Wages and salaries showed virtually no increase when compared to the general economy (US) which had a projected growth of 11 percent.

Supermarkets have added more prepared meals to their shelves, and people want ready to serve snacks and frozen entrees. This demand is caused by two parent or single parent working families who have possibly more income yet less time for food preparation. It is not uncommon for families to eat out several times a week on a regular basis instead of just on special occasions. An aging population and a dieting population has also contributed to the demand for convenience foods, ready to eat, and restaurant foods. As ethnic populations of countries change with immigration, so do demands on the food manufacturing industry. A green trend towards eating locally produced food, organic foods, and medical allergy problems also affect food product demands and manufacturing costs.

Rising cost of fuel such as gasoline has also caused the impact of the economic downturn on employment in the Food Manufacturing Industry. A worldwide jump in costs for grains and vegetables has caused shortages of certain products and high prices everywhere. Some industries, like milk in the UK, are cutting back products and employment as costs rise. The fight over corn and grains for food or fuel has costs skyrocketing, with a boomerang effect on items like beef, which not only has encountered rising costs for feed, but transportation and processing. The plumping of humans causes another increase in vegetable prices, as people want more products; it is a supply and demand plus costs situation there.

Rising cost of ingredients has put the hammer down on small companies, like mom and pop bakeries or bagel companies, because they are unable to absorb high prices of ingredients like flour or wheat. They raise prices, and may lay off employees to combat costs, where the larger producers can find ways to absorb increases in commodity prices. Combine the stress of food product demands with rising energy costs and any adverse weather conditions, and the industry cannot help but feel the pinch and react by lowering employment overall.

During the past few years, there have been several catastrophic weather events, such as hurricanes, tsunamis, and earthquakes, which have wreaked havoc in people's normal living conditions. The ability to obtain food, and to grow food is impacted by this, and with higher energy costs and higher food demands worldwide, the cost of all food products has risen. Competition between animals and humans is another factor, and so is competition between animal food stocks and fuel demands. Alternative energy sources, like solar and wind, and hybrid engines are one answer. To use food for fuel seems to go against basic human sensibilities and interest. Using corn and wheat to power machines instead of humans will only increase food prices and lessen employment in the industry.

For the future, there is widespread demand to get away from high costs of oil fuels, and to develop "free" fuels for powering machinery and electricity. Food production technology is an ongoing science that does increase output per acre, a major benefit to the world food supply. The weather, however, is beyond control. All that can be done in that area is better long term forecasting, and crop science improvements in output and planting techniques. There should be some increases in worldwide employment in those areas. The Food Manufacturing Industry, like many others in this modern age, must adjust and revise plans and make improvements to maintain its lifeblood.

One of the most powerful tools provided in C++ for a programmer is pointers. Pointers in C++ are used to directly access different memory locations that are allocated while a program is being compiled and executed. This provides an enormous amount of flexibility, depth and strength to the program being written and adds another dimension to the object oriented paradigm.
However, as we all know from our childhood superhero comics: With great power comes great responsibility (God that sounded so cliché). Thus,
are a double-edged sword. A few of such pointer problems or
are memory leak or inaccessible memory and dangling pointers.
This article covers some main pointer hazards and the steps that should be taken by any C++ programmer to avoid such pointer hazards.
The main pointers hazards are:
1. Memory Leak
2. Dangling Pointer
3. Bad pointer
Memory leaks are a common occurrence in many C++ codes. Basically, this occurs when a pointer, already pointing at a memory block, let’s say ‘A’, is reallocated to another memory block, say, ‘B’. As the only way to access allocated memory blocks directly is through pointers, the first location, A, now becomes completely inaccessible memory, leading to a memory leak. As the compiler does not de-allocate memory by itself (the programmer has to use the delete keyword) and as our pointer is now pointing towards memory location B, this causes wastage of memory and resources of the system being used.
int *ptr = nullptr;
ptr = new int;
*ptr = 5;
ptr = new int;
Here, the memory space that stores the integer ‘5’ now cannot be accessed as the pointer ‘ptr’ is pointing towards another memory location now. As a result the space that the system uses for storing one integer is wasted until the end of program execution.
As a rule of thumb to avoid memory leak, always make sure the number of ‘delete’ and ‘new’ keywords in your program are equal, as every time you allocate a new memory using ‘new’, you need to de-allocate it using ‘delete’.

A dangling pointer is a pointer which points to a location in memory that is not a part of your program. It occurs when a programmer fails to point a pointer towards another memory location after using the ‘delete’ statement.

int *ptr = new int;
*ptr = 10;
delete ptr;
cout << *ptr;
Notice that here, the integer memory that was allocated to the pointer has been deleted but we are still trying to dereference the pointer and output its value. It may lead to very serious situations in your program leading to an infinite loop or a program crash.
Always initialize a pointer when creating it, otherwise it would become a bad pointer and point to any arbitrary location in the memory. Leaving this pointer uninitialized could lead to system crashes. As an uninitialized pointer points to a random memory location, this location could very well be a memory location previously used by another pointer, leading to major problems in the program.
int *ptr;
cout << *ptr;
Normally you should first initialize it to a NULL value and some other value later in your program. The new standard has created the keyword ‘nullptr’ for this purpose.
int * ptr = nullptr;
It is easy to see that pointers in C++ should be handled with extreme care and caution. There are many possibilities that may lead to crashes and bugs in your programs while using pointers, but if you try to avoid the pointers hazards mentioned above, you should be generally fine!!!

Passing The Pre-Employment Test

How can you get help with your job search yet steer clear of services that over-promise, overcharge and under deliver?

The New York Times and other major publications have reported on "recruiting" services that advertise nonexistent six-figure jobs in order to lure in unsuspecting job seekers. Then they pitch resume rewrites and promise "unpublished jobs" or propose blind mailing programs. Other scams are resume writing services, sometimes using offshore non-English speaking writers who do not have the background to write about you or use the subtle language cues necessary at all level and all occupations.

Each of these might take your money and leave you worse off than when you started.   Here's an overview to help you understand today's job search reality and the challenges:

·        You must use several methods not just contacts, career sites or blind mailings to companies. The effort must be guided by a plan and that means carefully structured from an understanding of you. ·  Avoid getting "Ripped Off," find and use a specialized job coach to get your next job. Out of 500 plus career or job board sites there are probably only 1 to 2 that you should use.

·        Many private companies often owned by private equity firms are not on many lists of companies and often are the best sources for jobs.

·        Every resume and cover letter must be highly targeted. It takes time to do them the right way, and they must be used to build your online presence

·        The harsh truth is in today's stressful job market you need to be ready to adjust your strategy and approach to changing opportunities.

To avoid these "rip-off" services you need to understand and do three things:

This is the best way to avoid services that often promise to market you to lists of companies and do such things as helping to instantly rewrite your resume. They prey on anxious job seekers by offering fake or not available jobs on Internet sites, and then contacting people offering a complete service for thousands of dollars. There is no question that some of these services do add value. However, many do not care to gain enough insight into your own situation, or have only one limited course of action for a short duration.

Once you understand today's job search world you will see what you do must be very carefully tailored. You must use a number of sources to find, isolate and close a possible job. You must also use various methods depending on your exact requirements.   You will also need to work extra hard to be successful.

Job search coaching from professionals with integrity is the best form of help. Look for coaches highly specialized in job searches, willing to work with you weekly, completely aware of the current job environment and resources, and confident enough to have you pay as you make progress.  The right job search coach can make your effort more productive and help you avoid getting Ripped Off.

Pre-employment testing is done based on an assessment that provides measurable evidence of job candidates’ capabilities. Testing a candidate prior to their recruitment has become increasingly common among employers today, in a real effort to prevent costly hiring mistakes. Earlier they used to depend on interviews – but nowadays in addition to interviewing candidates, employers conduct tests that justify the candidate’s skills.
Pre-employments skill tests are based on criteria such as skill aptitude, mathematics, visualization and grammar. Each test is designed to analyze candidates’ capabilities for a certain position.
If you are facing a pre-employment test, don’t panic – you can by following some simple tips:
Candidates nowadays are smart and highly skilled. In actuality, there is little that you as a candidate can do to improve your score. Obviously, you can’t prepare for the same test that some other company gave you, as each company has its own pre-screening process, especially the logic and the skills test.
Skill tests are usually given to those candidates who need to have specific skills to perform their jobs. For example, these tests are commonly conducted for those candidates who apply for jobs such as typist or editor. To do well on tests like these, you would need to practice typing and editing, as the tests will be based on these skills.
Logic tests are usually given to test a candidate’s thinking and analyzing capacity. Larger companies judge a person’s team spirit and problem-solving skills through these tests. Logic tests are also given by some companies in an effort to judge a candidate’s character and knowledge. The best way to prepare for these tests is by practicing sample tests given on career-related websites.
Be Realistic
The best weapon to pass the pre-employment test is honesty. You might be tempted to make up false answers or give scenarios that you have never been in. Don’t do this. Pre-employment tests are designed to analyze a person’s caliber. Lying is easy but pointless, and it certainly won’t get you the job.
When you are taking the test, unless you have been given a specified time to finish, you can take your own time to solve the questions. Don’t rush; instead, do the questions that you know the answers to first. Rushing will only increase your stress and make you prone to make errors. If the test is conducted by a person, then do not hesitate to ask them for clarification if you face some difficulty in understanding the questions.
Finally, always double-check your answers.
Be Optimistic
Always think positively and try not to be anxious. On the day of the test, get there early and relax. Before you attempt the test, remember that having a positive attitude is half the battle.
Pre-employment testing is now routine for many companies in all fields of work. By following the tips above, you can ensure that you will pass with flying colors!

Three Things You Need to Know About Job Search In Difficult Times

On Friday night, as I am sitting in my study room, a thought just crossed my it right to accept a job opportunity with your ex-employer? I know some of you might say, "No, one should not" and many of you might say, "Yes, One should". Lets analyze, why people change their jobs. Those who have conducted exit interviews in their career will agree that most of the time (almost 95% of the time) people change their jobs for any of the following reasons:

1. High Salary

2. Good Career Growth

3. Brand Name

4. Their present boss is not good

5. He or she is not compatible with his team

6. Change in job profile

7. Switching the industry

8. Non-Democratic Policies

9. Etc etc etc

Now, if you have changed your job for any of the following reasons then what makes you to rejoin your previous employer? I have seen people in my career who moved rejoined their ex-employer not once but thrice.

Do you think, that if you will join your ex-employer you will get the same respect from your peers? Will they accept you? Will they trust you? Will they believe you? I don't think that they will.

In my opinion, it is an issue of ideology. It is an issue of "walk the talk". Where does your self-esteem; your dignity; your self-pride goes, when you accept such offers...of job opportunities with your ex-employer? Life is like a one-way traffic...lets move on, with out crossing the same junction twice. Joining your ex-employer is like "Licking your own Spit".

Medical problems and retirement are only two circumstances wherein you can "think of" joining your ex-employer. In case of ladies, "break at the time of marriage" and "break for maternity" are two more reasons for them to join their ex-employers.

Ideology might be different for each individual and so are the principles, value-system and beliefs. Some of you might agree with my opinion...many might not. There are chances that you may work under same boss...more than once. There are chances that you may work with same colleague...more than once. But rejoining your ex-employer is something, which I should not do.

Let me know, what do you think about this issue? If given a chance, will you join your ex-employer?

Looking forward to your views and comments.

If you want to be successful in searching for a job in these difficult economic times there are three key things you need to be doing. They are each to do with marketing yourself and include your resume, networking and your pitch. I will explain each of these in this article and how you can use these to rise to the top of the list. Remember this is all about You.
A resume is the most important document in your bag of goodies. As you work to get your information into the hands of Hiring Managers put yourself in their shoes. What are they looking for? Does your resume stand out? It must portray you as someone who can add value to the organization from day one. You are limited to a short period of time when a Recruiter reads your resume and you must take advantage of every second to make an impression. Make sure you have the right keywords in your resume. Once you have completed the resume then you can move on.
It is often said that Networking is the key to finding a job and in my time as an Outplacement consultant I can confirm that to be true. Well over 85% of all my clients find their next position through a friend of a friend, or an alumni group, or through another organization that they belong to. Never dismiss a contact because you think they will not know the right people. I could tell you any number of stories that would prove you wrong. Network, Network and Network and if that fails start Networking.
We are not intrinsically comfortable with Networking, asking other people for help, or in this case
we think shows weakness. Nothing could be further from the truth, great strength is required to contact someone you have never met and ask them for advice that could help you in the transition. Get to it!!
Our final item is
, the answer to the question
These are both great questions when you understand what the interviewer is looking for. The interviewer is looking to hear about you strengths, abilities and skills and how they will benefit the organization. They are not looking to know when you last had a vacation (unless it is pertinent to the position) but they do want to hear what you did at what job that is relevant to them.
Practice a standard version of this in front of the bathroom mirror, when you have an interview research the company and the position and focus your pitch at the requirements.
The three steps we have discussed follow a logical pattern, prepare the resume that will get you in the door for an interview, network like crazy to extend your reach when it comes to finding opportunities and lastly practice the 90 second drill that will allow you to demonstrate very quickly that you can deliver the goods.
Be successful and do not give up!

If you work better at night, then by all means, sleep in until noon and work from 8 pm on. The beauty of having a survey job work at home position is that you can decide when you want to work.

If you are a newbie to the job search ranks, finding a job during an economic downturn can be a challenge. With little or no job search experience, how do you compete? To achieve success, try harder than your competition! Many times it is sheer effort that will set a successful teen job seeker apart from the crowd. Think about it: how many of your friends go that extra measure to the jobs that are out there? Here are some tips that will help you succeed:
Your cell phone voice mail message should be clear, short, and professional. When you record your message, there should be no background noise. Make sure you speak your first and last name slowly and clearly. Always remove the call waiting music off your cell phone while you are looking for work; an employer will probably not appreciate your taste in music!
Google your name and find out what employers can find out about you before you apply for the job. Clean up your online profiles and pics. What is posted about you online should demonstrate to an employer that you are trustworthy, honest, and responsible. If your postings do not show that, you need to take them off the internet.
Go early in the morning to put in applications and follow up with employers. When you report before 9:00 Am, you are sending a message to the employer that you are out of bed early and ready to work. Most of your competition will roll out of bed around noon and put in their applications after lunch – by then you will have already filled out an application, left a resume, and contacted the manager about the position.
Trying harder than your competition works! There are always job opportunities for those individuals who have a good work ethic and make an extra effort in their job search.
